My Background
I am an interdisciplinary design researcher with experience across various industries since 2007, when I began my Bachelor’s in Industrial Design. Working in diverse design disciplines has given me a systems-thinking approach, allowing me to see everything as an interconnected whole.
After earning my BA in Industrial Design from the University of Tehran in 2012, I spent four years practicing design across multiple fields.
My passion for design research and service design led me to pursue a Master of Interdisciplinary Design (MDes) at Emily Carr University from 2016 to 2018. This research-focused program allowed me to deepen my expertise in user research and refine my ability to uncover insights that drive impactful design solutions.

My approach & vocation
As a strong advocate of human-centered principles, I am deeply fascinated by the psychology behind user behavior. I use design thinking, critical reasoning, and human-centered methodologies to uncover and address underlying challenges in any given context.
Being a design researcher is more than just my profession—it’s my true calling. I am naturally perceptive and detail-oriented, constantly applying design thinking to every aspect of my life. For me, problem-solving is an ongoing process of critical and creative exploration.
I believe in the power of design to shape a more humane, just, and sustainable world. By reframing existing resources and integrating advanced technologies, I strive to foster innovation across social, economic, and political landscapes.
